Hi. It's me, Nancy. The face behind Pembrook Lane
Pembrook Lane began quite organically about three years ago. Desperate for spring to arrive in Northeast Ohio, I plucked the first wild violets that appeared in my yard, tucked them inside a book, slid them out several weeks later...and fell in love.
I’ve loved flowers and flower gardens for most of my adult life, so discovering the art of preserving them felt like finding something I was always meant to do. Transforming blooms that have witnessed life’s most meaningful moments into heirlooms that can be cherished for generations is deeply fulfilling.
What began as a simple creative outlet—pressing and framing flowers from my own garden to sell online and in local boutiques—has grown into something so much more. Today, I have the privilege of preserving flowers from weddings, memorials, birthdays, anniversaries, and other meaningful occasions. Being entrusted with such sentimental pieces of someone’s story is an honor that humbles me every single time.
I’ve been fortunate to have three careers throughout my life. I spent nearly twenty years in the medical field before becoming a middle school English teacher, where I’ve happily spent the past seventeen years. (You just have to love seventh graders!) While I still have a handful of years left in my beloved classroom, Pembrook Lane is the dream I’m slowly growing into.
It truly has taken a village to get here. To my family and friends who have encouraged me, supported me, and shared my work to others along the way—you have helped Pembrook Lane blossom, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’ve also been incredibly fortunate to meet so many talented and generous people in the wedding industry who continue to inspire and encourage me.
